Beautiful house in central location
We stayed in Fairlight for 6 nights at the end of May. We were a group of 5 adults (a couple in our 30's with a 2 year old and my mum and 2 aunties in their 60's). The house suited us perfectly as we were able to spread ourselves out in the bedrooms and had plenty of room around the large dining table for meals.
Read More...The kitchen was really well equipped and we enjoyed 4 homecooked meals while we stayed here. We used the larger of the 2 lounges during the day as this was lovely and light and the smaller lounge as a snug for the evenings. All of the rooms were tastefully and thoughtfully decorated with touches that made you feel at home without feeling like you were in someone else's home. The back garden was beautifully maintained and a great space for our toddler to let off some steam. He needed supervision outside as the grass is raised and around the edges are steps and concrete but this wasn't a problem for us. The beds were very comfortable and very spacious. It would have been helpful if a couple of hand towels were provided as bringing bath and hand towels for everyone took up quite a lot of space in our car and made packing up to go a little challenging as the hand towels had to be packed still damp. It would also be great if the house provided a high chair as it had a travel cot, so toddler friendly but having no high chair didn't make a lot of sense. Overall it was a lovely house and a great place to start off from each day and return to in the early evenings. We all very much enjoyed staying here and would love to come back and stay again.
Great for a large family
We stayed at Fairlight for a week in the October half term. We were a large group with several children and the house was great for us. There were plenty of rooms all beautifully decorated (I particularly liked the colour coordination of accessories in each room) with large and comfortable beds. I shared a double with my nephew and there was plenty of room even with his wriggling around!
Read More...The house has two living rooms which was great as the adults could have some quiet respite. They each had a smart tv so we were able to log in to Netflix and amazon for films. There were also plenty of books and games left in the house which were great. The kitchen is large and fully equipped with everything we needed and perfect for big family meals.
There is also a lovely garden and even in October we got out there - we didn’t make use of the bbq though.
Fairlight is well located, a short walk to the beach and High street as well as local convenience shops and pubs. We all had a brilliant time on the beach which is massive. Some of our group came by car, others by train and it was an easy journey for all with the ferry and hovercraft close by.
We had a great holiday and would highly recommend Fairlight and Ryde to others
